Florida's Suncoast
Links and Information
This Key West style paradise offers a terrific beach area right
on the Gulf of Mexico with picnic tables, covered shelters,
and an elevated viewing area. There's free parking and
plenty to do.
You may see dolphin or manatee right from the beach.
The sunsets are incredible especially on our sunset cruise.
Visit our friends at Ollie Oysters, Inn on the Gulf, Hudson
Beach Marina, Hurricane Hanks, Skeleton Key Marina,
Port Hudson Marina, and Skinny's.
If
you get a chance, visit Heart Springs. This natural spring
is located in the Gulf of Mexico. We'll show you Heart
Springs aboard our airboat.
Here's an aerial photo of the spring. It's shaped
like a heart. The water depth at low tide is just 2' deep
around the spring and the center drops over a hundred feet
straight down.
This spring is probably not connected to
the aquifer, but dye tracing has verified it's connection to
Bear Creek and the Beacon Woods cave system.
Story has it
that a connection was first suspected when an old windmill
in the Bear Creek area was destroyed during a storm and
fisherman recognized the wood and other debris when they saw
it floating just offshore.
